For this Week 2 video journal, I would like to reflect on several key concepts I learned. First, I gained a deeper understanding of the role of storyboarding in the filmmaking process. I had previously assumed it was simply sketching scenes, but I now recognize it as a structured planning tool that ensures consistency in visual storytelling.

In addition, I learned how lighting functions as a narrative device. Through our exercises, I observed how changes in brightness, contrast, and shadow can significantly alter the emotional tone of a scene. This knowledge has given me a greater appreciation of technical choices and their impact on audience perception.
